Driver who struck and injured pedestrian on West Main St. wanted by police

KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Police are looking for the driver suspected of hitting and injuring a pedestrian in the 2000 block of West Main Street in Kalamazoo.

The Township of Kalamazoo Police Department responded around 9:15 p.m. Monday, September 5, and found a subject laying in the roadway who was injured, but responsive.

The victim was taken to the hospital and listed in stable condition.

Authorities say the suspect vehicle, described as a small, dark color SUV, sustained front-end damage, fled the scene and has not yet been located.
