ALLEN PARK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Detroit Lions held a rare players-led practice Monday. Head coach Dan Campbell was on the sidelines, but had no input into what the players did.
Left tackle Taylor Decker said Campbell told them they were going to run their own practice with several scenarios he wanted them to go through. Decker said he had never done that before, but called it good work.
The Lions are preparing for their preseason finale. Detroit will visit the Pittsburgh Steelers Sunday.
Detroit will open the regular season at home against the Philadelphia Eagles September 11.
