KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Commuters in the city of Kalamazoo need to take note of a major road closure beginning Monday, August 1.
City officials say that North Park Street for that first week in August so that crews can complete infrastructure repairs in the middle of the street.
According to a news release from the city of Kalamazoo, the work will take place on North Park Street between Norway Avenue and West Frank Street.
Northbound motorists will be able to detour around the construction taking place by turning east on West North Street, north on Burdick Street, and then west on West Paterson Street.
The one-way is normally only open to northbound traffic.
Sidewalks will remain open for both pedestrians and bicyclers.
The work is expected to take five days to complete.
