SAN DIEGO, CA (WKZO AM/FM) – The Michigan State University men’s team will play a college basketball game on an active duty aircraft carrier in San Diego this fall.
The USS Abraham Lincoln will host the game on Veteran’s Day, between the Spartans and Gonzaga. They will play a late afternoon contest on the deck of the carrier at Naval Station North Island in Coronado, with only members of the military in attendance.
This will be the third time an aircraft carrier will host a college basketball game in San Diego. MSU last played on an aircraft carrier, the USS Carl Vinson, in 2011 in San Diego.
