MASON, MI — The Ingham County Animal Shelter is receiving a private donation of 100-thousand-dollars. The county’s Law and Courts Committee is expected to approve the donation this week.
Officials say the money will be used to upgrade existing holding facilities for cats and dogs, while the facility is also getting another donation of ten-thousand-dollars for medical care for the animals.
The shelter is also currently hosting a Biseell Pet Foundation “Empty the Shelter” event in Mason. Through July all dog adoptions are $25 and cat adoptions are just $10.
