BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — City crews will be replacing broken water valves, which will require temporary water shutoffs and a road closure beginning Thursday, July 14.
This will require temporary water shutoffs from 10 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., on Capital Avenue S.W., between Langley Road and Wahwahtaysee Way.
Residents in this area should be prepared to be without water and for a potential boil water advisory when service returns.
Additional information will be made available to the media, and through the city’s website and social media, should it become necessary, and door hangers will be distributed to the homes affected.
During this time, Capital Avenue S.W., between Minges Road and Beckley Road, will be closed in both directions to through traffic and emergency vehicles from July 14 at 9 p.m. through July 15 at 2 p.m.
Motorist are advised to avoid this area and follow all posted detour signs.
