BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Wall That Heals is a three-quarter scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial along with a Mobile Education Center, and it’s coming to Emmett Township near Battle Creek on Thursday, July 14.
The exhibit will be at the Harper Creek High School Soccer Field from Thursday, July 14 to Sunday July 17.
The Wall will be open 24 hours a day and is free to the public with free parking.
The Wall That Heals honors the more than three million Americans who served in the U.S. armed forces in the Vietnam War and it bears the names of the 58,281 men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in Vietnam.
U.S. Army Brigadier General (Retired) Robert Secrist stated, “This event is a special opportunity to show our support for the military. This event is a unique occasion to thank Vietnam veterans for their service and sacrifices during the Vietnam War and for their suffering since then. Battle Creek offers a central location for all from western, southwestern and southern Michigan to easily visit The Wall.”
