LANSING, MI — A mid-Michigan man is a million dollar Powerball winner from the Michigan Lottery. Jamieson King, 43, bought the ticket at the QD store on Dunkel Road in Lansing a year ago. He matched five of the six numbers in August of 2021, but is just now coming forward to claim his prize.
“I purchased the Powerball ticket at the Quality Dairy. A few days later, a co-worker mentioned the $1 million ticket had been sold there. I checked my ticket and noticed I had matched the first few numbers. I put the ticket away and waited a few days to check the final numbers. It was a surreal feeling to win,” King said.
King recently visited lottery headquarters in Lansing to claim his million dollar prize.
