GRAND HAVEN, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Multiple fights caused the Michigan Department of Natural Resources to close Grand Haven State Park’s beach on the Fourth of July.
The decision came around 4:30 p.m. Monday. No word on whether anyone was injured in the fights.
The Grand Haven Department of Public Safety also said Grand Haven’s South Pier was also closed to visitors Monday afternoon.
Grand Haven is still held their fireworks display at Lynne Sherwood Waterfront Stadium at dusk.
