WAYLAND, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – In partnership with the Gun Lake Tribe, the Michigan Department of Transportation is investing approximately $26 million to rebuild the US-131/M-179 interchange and resurface US-131 from 120th Avenue to 133rd Avenue in Allegan County.
MDOT says daily (9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.) and nightly (7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.) lane closures for road and bridge work are scheduled for today through this Friday on northbound and southbound US-131 between 135th Avenue and 120th Avenue.
The on ramp from M-179 (129th Avenue) to southbound US-131 remains closed through late September.
The two-year project is scheduled to open to traffic in November 2022.
