BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — City crews are currently repairing a water main break on Sigel Street in Battle Creek.
According to the City Manager’s Office, this will require a temporary water shutoff and road closure for the rest of this afternoon and into the early evening hours.
Officials expect the water shutoff to last until approximately 8:30 p.m. this evening on Sigel Street between Taylor Avenue and Morgan Avenue.
During this time, the road will be closed on Sigel Street between Taylor Avenue and Morgan Avenue. Emergency vehicles will not have access.
City officials are advising motorists to seek alternate routes and follow all work signs.
They say city neighbors in this area should be prepared to be without water and for a potential boil water advisory when service returns.
