Tigers take two out of three from Diamondbacks, losing series finale Sunday afternoon

PHOENIX, AZ (WKZO AM/FM) – The Detroit Tigers couldn’t complete the sweep as they fell 11-7 to the Arizona Diamondbacks Sunday afternoon in Phoenix.

Eric Haase homered for Detroit.  Will Vest took the loss for the Tigers.

The D’backs’ five-game losing streak ended as Daulton Varsho clubbed a three-run homer and Carson Kelly hit his first home run of the season for Arizona.

Detroit is 28-and-44. The Tigers remain out west as they will visit the San Francisco Giants tomorrow night.

Tarik Skubal will start for the Tigers.  Carlos Rodon will take the mound for San Francisco.
