KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A verdict was reached on Monday, June 27, for a man charged with two counts murder in a deadly home invasion in Kalamazoo Township in December 2020.
24-year-old D-Angelo Davis was found guilty on two counts of first-degree murder, with sentencing scheduled for August 5.
Davis had pled guilty to lesser charges at the beginning of the year but lost the deal after he refused to testify against his younger brother, Tikario Taylor-McMillon who is headed back to trial in August to face two counts of murder.
McMillon’s first go-around ended in a mistrial following the jury being deadlocked.
33-year-old Katoya McPherson and 36-year-old Floyd Bashers Jr. were found dead in their apartment on December 28, 2020.
