PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The City of Portage will be doing a bit of clean-up on the sewer system beginning on Monday, June 27.
Drivers in the area should take note that this work will take place along some heavily traveled streets.
City officials say the work is expected to create traffic delays and lane closures along South Westnedge Avenue and Shaver Road. Drivers are being asked to seek alternative routes during this time.
Intermittent closures are expected from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday until work is completed, according to the City of Portage.
Other streets to be affected are Crockett Avenue, Newhouse Avenue, and West Melody Avenue.
The work is scheduled to be completed July 14, materials and weather permitting.
