CALHOUN COUNTY, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Three suspects responsible for multiple larcenies in the Battle Creek area were arrested according to police.
It happened Thursday morning, June 23, when deputies with the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office were investigating multiple incidents of thefts that had taken place in the Ridgeline and Carl area of the City of Springfield overnight.
Authorities confirmed that items were stolen from multiple vehicles in the area, and that the suspects had also gone into a home, took items to include a vehicle once they found the keys. The stolen vehicle was located on Manger street in Battle Creek along with multiple subjects nearby.
A deputy was able to detain one of the individuals as the three others fled on foot. With help from the Battle Creek Police Department to include a K9 unit, one of the suspects that had fled was found in a nearby home while the other was located running a short distance away.
The two suspects that were located were lodged at the Calhoun County Jail on multiple charges, while the one that was caught at the scene was lodged on multiple other outstanding warrants.
And the subject that got away was identified with charges being sought.
