SPRINGFIELD, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – The Calhoun County Sheriff Department continue to look for the suspects who stole an abundance of cigarettes, alcohol and money including the cash register from Bellar’s Mart at 504 Upton Avenue in the City of Springfield.
They say the break in was reported at about 1:30 a.m. on Monday morning.
Upon arrival to the business, deputies conducted a search of the interior of the business but no one was located.
With the help of Michigan State Police’s K9 Team, Sheriff’s Office Deputies canvassed the area in the attempt to locate any suspects or evidence pertaining to this case.
The K9 was unable to locate a “track” and it was thought the suspects possibly fled the area in an unknown vehicle.
The security cameras in the store showed one male inside the store at the time the burglar alarm was activated, although there is believed to be two males involved.
The Sheriff’s Department has released a photo of a suspect.
