KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Can-Do Kalamazoo has a new look and will soon have a new building.
The mixed-use business incubator shared its new branding as well as floor plans and amenities for its future home at Kalamazoo’s Night Market on Thursday, June 16.
Formerly known as Can-Do Kitchen, the organization will move to the new space at 519 South Park Street in Kalamazoo later this year.
So far, the organization has raised approximately 87% of its phase one capital campaign, Opening New Doors, which has a goal of raising $650,000.
CDK has also announced a $50,000 crowdfunding campaign through Patronicity. This means if the organization meets its $50,000 goal, the Michigan Economic Development Committee (MEDC) will provide a matching grant of an additional $50,000, which must be done by August 14.
These funds will assist CDK in relocating to the larger, more central location and allow for the addition of mixed-use incubator resources beyond CDK’s current food business program.
