Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office looking for a few good people to join their reserves

KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office Reserve Division is accepting applications for the 2023 Reserve Academy.

The Reserves are a support unit for the Sheriff’s Office made up of volunteers from the community that come together to help the Sheriff as needed.

Some of the duties of a Reserve include helping out in times of a natural disaster, helping with traffic control for special events, riding on road patrol with a Deputy, finger printing children at community outings, just to name a few.

The Reserve Academy is open to those interested 21 years old or older.  They will need to download an application from the Reserve website, http://kcsord.org      and return it to the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office at 1500 Lamont Street in Kalamazoo no later than August 31, 2022.
