PITTSBURGH, PA (WKZO AM/FM) – Daz Cameron drove in two runs as the Detroit Tigers beat the Pirates 3-1 in Pittsburgh Wednesday afternoon.
Detroit snapped a 1-1 tie in the eighth on an RBI single by Miguel Cabrera. They added an insurance run in the ninth on a double by Cameron.
Will Vest earned the win for Detroit as the Tigers swept the two game series. Starter Alex Faedo only threw 82 pitches as he allowed three hits in the first five innings. The Tigers outhit the Bucs 9-4.
Jack Suwinski homered for the Pirates. Wil Crowe took the loss.
The Tigers are 23-and-33 and will host the Toronto Blue Jays tomorrow.
