BATTLE CREEK, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – There’s a vacancy on the Battle Creek City Commission.
Battle Creek Vice Mayor Kaytee Faris announced her immediate resignation during Tuesday night’s City Commission meeting.
The Battle Creek Enquirer reports Faris resigned because she and her family will be moving to Ithaca, New York.
Faris was elected to the city commission in 2015 and has been vice mayor for two years.
The City Commission has 30 days to appoint a replacement to serve out the rest of Faris’ term which expires in November.
