GRAND RAPIDS, MI — Meijer says it has restored its online shopping platform after a technical issue with Chase Bank on Tuesday. The problem blocked online purchases through the Meijer website for several hours yesterday until being resolved.
A statement from Meijer says stores switched to cash and credit cards only (no pin/debit) to protect customers until the issue was fixed.
Some shoppers across the state reported overcharges on credit cards last month after shopping at Meijer, according to the Detroit Free Press. A Meijer spokesperson said the charges were also from technical issues with Chase Bank.
