CONSTANTINE TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A 20-year-old Dowagiac man was killed early Thursday morning in a St. Joseph County one vehicle crash.
Sheriff Mark Lillywhite reports the crash took place on Youngs Prairie Road near Harder Road at about 4:30 a.m.
It was determined following an investigation that the fatal victim’s Dodge passenger car crossed the center line and went off the road in a curve before striking a telephone pole.
The driver of the vehicle was pronounced deceased at the crash scene.
The Sheriff’s Department stated in a press release excessive speed appears to be a factor in the crash.
