LANSING, MI — The Hawk Island Triathlon (swim, bike, run) is set for this Sunday. The event is designed for people of all ages and fitness levels and run in a supportive environment.
The yearly event has anywhere from 300 to 800 triathletes, according to organizers, and offers kid options. There are Sprint, Super Sprint, and Kids races. The Sprint is perfect for beginners and experienced athletes who like a “warm-up” event to start the summer triathlon season, according to the group’s Facebook page.
The event is Sunday, June 5, from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Hawk Island County Park, 1601 E. Cavanaugh in Lansing. There is a registration fee to compete in the triathlon.
