LANSING, MI — Lansing’s Capital Region International Airport will conduct live fire training exercises on Monday, May 9, but normal flight operations at the airport will not be interfered with, according to a press release.
The training will also includes simulator and classroom instruction, provided by Aircraft Rescue Firefighting (ARFF) Specialists. Per FAA regulations, aircraft rescue firefighters must complete this training at least once every 12 months.
Normal airport operations, including airline arrivals and departures, and passenger access to the terminal will not be affected, according to the airport.
