ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office is announcing the return of Boater Safety Classes this year. The classes were suspended due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
The Sheriff’s Office, for now, is offering one class at the White Pigeon Training Hall located at 16975 US 12 on Saturday, June 18, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Klinger Lake Association is hosting this class and will provide lunch for all students.
In order to attend the Boater Safety Class you must be 12 years of age as of 6/30/1996. Anyone born after 12/31/1978 will also need to obtain a boater safety certificate.
This class is free, and those attending should bring a pencil for notes and to take a test.
Spots are limited. Those interested should call the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office, 269-467-9045 at extension 221 to sign up.
