KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety police are investigating after responding to a report that a pedestrian had been hit by a vehicle at around 7:41 p.m. on Friday, April 29.
Upon officers’ arrival, they found that the driver of the vehicle lost control and hit the pedestrian who was on the sidewalk.
Public Safety Officers performed first aid on the victim who was then transported to a local hospital for treatment where they are listed in serious condition.
Authorities say at this point that alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash, which is still under investigation.
