BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Some faulty electrical wiring was to blame for a house fire in Battle Creek on Tuesday evening, April 26.
Authorities say firefighters got the call about the fire at 3940 South Minges Road at 6:59 p.m. The first crews arrived within four minutes and found that smoke was coming from the attic of the single family one-story home. The fire itself was located in the attic area over the garage.
All occupants had gotten out safely before fire crews arrived, and the fire was brought under control in 10 minutes.
No injuries were reported from either the occupants or the firefighters.
