KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – It appears the Kalamazoo County Board of Commissioners will be back to square one in their conflict with the Tolanda and Johnson families over a disputed piece of lake-front property in Prairie View Park.
A request to initiate seizure through Public Domain proceedings is back on the agenda for tonight’s County Commission meeting. The board asked the lawyers for the two sides to try and reach an accommodation, but that’s not on the agenda.
Members of the Talanda and Johnson families say they plan to protest again at the meeting this evening, although some family members say the County should get the property.
