RICHLAND, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a high-speed motorcycle crash in Richland Township from Saturday, April 16.
Authorities say it happened around 10:20 a.m. when a 47-year-old Richland man was traveling northbound on M-43 near West Gull Lake Road at a high rate of speed when he lost control and went off the roadway striking a tree.
The driver was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
The driver was attended by Richland Township Rescue and Pride EMS and was transported to Borgess hospital where he was listed in critical condition.
This crash remains under investigation.
