VICKSBURG, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Firefighters are investigating the cause of a blaze that destroyed a Vicksburg home early Sunday morning, April 10.
The South Kalamazoo County Fire Authority said they received the 9-1-1 call around 2 a.m., but not from the homeowners, but rather from a neighbor.
When fire crews arrived, they observed heavy smoke and saw the home engulfed in flames.
The eight people living in the house were able to escape with two suffering minor burns.
The South Kalamazoo County Fire Authority determined the home to be a total loss.
