KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Parents of Kalamazoo School children have just a couple of days left to decide if their students will attend regular classes or opt for virtual learning in the fall. Superintendent Rita Raichoudhuri says unlike this year, when families were allowed to leave the virtual platforms and return to school at semester breaks, next year students will either be in or out for the full year.
She says that parents need to make their declaration by Wednesday, the 13th.
KPS plans to maintain its Virtual learning Program, and may promote it to boost enrollment. Only students who live in the KPS District are eligible for the Promise.
Parents will find out in early May what their student’s assignment will be and will have a chance to appeal if they disagree.
