KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Kalamazoo County Board of Commissioners has approved a contract with their new chief executive Kevin Catlin.
Attorney Matt Nordfjord says the deal is fairly consistent with the offers made to previous administrators.
Catlin is the former City Manager of Springfield near Battle Creek, but is currently the Administrator in Boone County, Illinois.
He had already resigned from that post, effective next month over a conflict with his current board.
His new board in Kalamazoo is also split on many issues, including his hiring. Last night three Republican commissioners voted against the contract.
