KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A boil water advisory has been issued for some areas in the Parchment neighborhood.
The advisory, issued on Thursday, March 31, includes the areas of East Glenguile Street, Riverview Drive, and Oak Grove Avenue.
The advisory was issued because of repairs that are being done to the water infrastructure which could cause a sudden drop in pressure, which in turn could allow bacteria to enter the system.
Officials say as of Thursday, March 31, there were no confirmed tests showing bacteria in the water.
Those in the affected area are advised to boil their water for two minutes before drinking it.
The boil water advisory is expected to be lifted by Sunday, April 3rd.
