DOWAGIAC, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Methamphetamine and firearms. This maybe sounds a little like something out of the Breaking Bad TV series, at least for members of the Cass County Drug Enforcement Team, who recently turned up a sizable batch of meth and some weapons.
On Wednesday, March 23, team detectives paid a visit to an address on the 100 block of Haines Street in the city of Dowagiac to execute a search warrant.
There, they found two individuals inside the residence who were then detained for questioning.
As the search continued, detectives located a large amount of Methamphetamine and Meth paraphernalia along with several firearms.
Police arrested both a 62-year-old male and a 38-year-old female that were at the residence.
The male suspect was arrested for possession with intent to deliver Methamphetamine, felony firearm, possession of a silencer, outstanding warrants, and maintaining a drug house. And the female suspect was arrested for possession of Methamphetamine, and maintaining a drug house.
The suspect’s name are being withheld pending arraignment on the charges in the 4th district court. The investigation is still on going at this time.
Assisting with the search warrant were the Cass County Sheriffs Office felony detectives, Dowagiac Police Department, Dowagiac Fire Department, Pokagon Tribal Police and Dowagiac Police Department K9 Tole.
