KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety is investigating a fire that took place Saturday evening, March 19.
Authorities say public safety officers responded to the 1000 block of Interfaith Boulevard where they found heavy fire coming from the second floor of one of the apartments in the complex.
All occupants were able to get out of the building safely and firefighters were able to get the flames under control within 20 minutes.
The Red Cross was on site to help those displaced by the fire.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation. There were no reported injuries as a result of the fire.
