INDIANAOLIS, IN (WKZO AM/FM) – Eleven-seed University of Michigan begins its run in the NCAA men’s basketball tournament at 12:15 p.m. today against six-seed Colorado State.
Michigan guard DeVante’ Jones will not play in today’s game. Jones is in concussion protocol after he was hit in the nose with an elbow during practice earlier this week.
The team is hoping he recovers in time to play in the second round if the Wolverines advance.
The Wolverines finished the year with a record of 17-and-14, while the Rams ended the season at 25-and-5. The winner will take on three-seed Tennessee or 14-seed Longwood in the second round Saturday.
