KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Kzoo Parks, Advia Credit Union, and the Kalamazoo Growlers are inviting the entire Kalamazoo community to Mayors’ Riverfront Park at 251 Mills Street on Saturday, April 16 for the Annual Egg Hunt.
The event will be held on Homer Stryker Field from 2 to 4 p.m.
Thousands of eggs will be hidden on Homer Stryker Field for children to find. There will be three egg hunts so that children can enjoy it with others of the same age. Each child will receive a bag of candy and a toy after their hunt and there will also be drawings for prizes and gift baskets. Prize drawings will take place when each age group exits the field.
The Kalamazoo Growlers will have bounce houses set up and food available for purchase.
The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety will have a fire truck and K-9 unit at the event, and earth day activities will be provided by Children’s Nature Playscape.
A Moment of Magic’s princesses and the Growlers’ mascot Porter will also be in attendance.
In 2020 and 2021, at home activities were offered in place of the Egg Hunt to help protect the community from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Attendees should remain cautious and follow CDC and local health official guidelines to protect themselves and the community from COVID-19.
This event is free, and although the activities are geared towards families with children, all community members are welcome.
