EAST LANSING, MI — If Michigan State University football hopes to improve upon its 11-2 season last fall a lot of the ground work will be laid this spring. The Spartans hit the practice field for the first time on Tuesday at the MSU football practice facility and outdoor fields in East Lansing.
MSU head coach Mel Tucker will run the Spartans through 15 total practices which culminates April 16 with the annual spring scrimmage at Spartan Stadium.
The Spartans concluded last year’s schedule with a win over Pittsburgh in the Peach Bowl. It will kick off this fall at home against Western Michigan on Friday night Sept. 2.
