BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – An 11-year-old Battle Creek Public Schools student is being charged with bringing a gun to a no-firearm zone, after he was found with it at school Monday.
No one was hurt when a student in the incident at Fremont International Academy on Emmett Street in Battle Creek. When school officials learned about the gun, they called police.
A Battle Creek Police Department spokesperson told WOOD-TV 8 that investigators are collecting information on the student’s parents and looking into whether they should face charges, also.
