LANSING, MI — McLaren Greater Lansing’s new health care campus will continue opening this weekend. The acute care hospital ‑ including operating rooms, cath labs, imaging services, level 3 trauma center, primary stroke center, and emergency department – open at 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, March 6.
It’s important to note that at that time, emergency services will no longer be available at the former Greenlawn Ave. facility in south Lansing. Patients who are currently admitted to McLaren’s current facilities at Greenlawn and Pennsylvania Avenues will be transferred to the new hospital beginning Sunday. Some 100 patients are expected to be transfered.
The state-of-the-art $450 million facility sets on a 50-acre site and will also serve as a teaching facility for Michigan State University.
