BATTLE CREEK, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – Two pets did not survive a house fire which caused about $50,000 worth of damage on Monday night at 354 West Burnham Street.
The Battle Creek Fire Department says the cause of the fire is still under investigation by the Fire Marshal.
Firefighters were dispatched just before 10:00 p.m..
They found heavy fire showing in the back of the residence when they arrived. It was determined after a search that there were no occupants inside at the time the fire broke out.
The fire was under control within 20 minutes. No human injuries were reported.
