With Detroit pitchers and catchers scheduled to report next week, MLB contract still not settled

ORLANDO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Major League Baseball will make a new proposal to the MLB Players Association in Orlando tomorrow to address the ongoing labor dispute.

League commissioner Rob Manfred says he is optimistic that Spring Training and the regular season will begin on time.

Detroit Tigers pitchers and catchers are scheduled to report in Lakeland, Florida February 15 with Grapefruit League play set to begin February 26 if the contract is settled.
