BEDFORD TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The suspect in a Bedford Township shooting has been identified and arraigned, according to an update from WWMT Wednesday.
Previously, police were called to a residence on North Gardner Avenue just after 12:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.
A 58-year-old man told police that his long-term girlfriend had been shot. He was later brought into custody on a charge of open murder and felony firearms.
On Wednesday, the suspect was identified as Gary Vogt, who will now face both of those charges.
The victim was identified as 62-year-old Charlotte Freiny.
Bond has been denied and Vogt remains in custody at this time, according to the update.
