KALAMAZOO COUNTY, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Because of the Martin Luther King Holiday, both Kalamazoo City and County Commissioners will be meeting Tuesday evening, and they both have important agenda items.
County Commissioners will be trying once again to agree on new board leadership after deadlocking on a new Chair and Vice-chair at their last meeting.
They will also be discussing who will fill in as their Top administrator when Lisa Henthorn leaves the post in just two weeks.
Former Chair Tracy Hall says they hope to find a permanent replacement in two months so they won’t need an interim for long.
At Kalamazoo City Hall, Commissioners will be setting fee rates for everything from building permits to cemetery plots for the coming year.
They will also be discussing water and sewer rate hikes.
