ALLEN PARK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Detroit Lions general manager Brad Holmes spoke at a press conference yesterday as he wrapped up his first season with Detroit.
Holmes said he liked how the team continued to play hard for head coach Dan Campbell during the season.
He also said that while he likes what the Lions have done with their offensive and defensive line the team can always get better at the perimeter positions on both sides of the ball.
The New York Giants are in the market for a new head coach. The team fired Joe Judge on Tuesday after going four-and-13 this season, including losing their last six games by double-digits. Judge went 10-and-23 in his two seasons with the team after coming over from New England. where he coached special teams and wide receivers.
The Cleveland Browns general manager doesn’t seem to be interested in a quarterback change. Cleveland GM Andrew Berry said Tuesday that the Browns “fully expect” Baker Mayfield to return as the starting quarterback in 2022.
Mayfield struggled in 2021 for the 8-and-9 Browns, but also played with a torn labrum in his left, non-throwing shoulder which he injured in Week 2. Mayfield finished the season with 3,010 passing yards, 17 touchdowns and 13 interceptions.
