No Art Hop in January, but event returns in downtown Kalamazoo in February

KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo has released the dates for Art Hops in 2022.

After taking January off, the next Art Hop will be February 4 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., in downtown Kalamazoo. February Art Hop will honor the Chinese New Year and celebrate the Year of the Tiger.

There will not be an Art Hop this month as the Arts Council takes time to complete its annual planning.

All 2022 Art Hops will be on the first Friday of the month with the exception of July, which will be held on the second Friday of the month. Art Hops are free for the public to attend and typically take place in downtown Kalamazoo and surrounding neighborhoods.

Individual artists, arts organizations, and small businesses who want to participate in Art Hop can apply online. The cost to participate is $50. Art Hop was created as a way for local artists, organizations, and businesses to showcase their work and to bring the Kalamazoo community together surrounding a shared love of arts and culture.
