MARSHALL TOWNSHIP, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – Five animals were killed in the wee hours of Wednesday morning in a Calhoun County barn fire.
WWMT-TV reports the barn on 11 Mile Road was fully engulfed in flames when the Marshall Township Fire Department responded at 2:19 a.m..
Among the animals killed was a kangaroo. Officials also told WWMT the other animals killed were two ferrets and two prairie dogs.
It’s not known how the fire started.
