HASLETT, MI — A deer cull will take place in Meridian Township begining in the new year. The program will run from January 1st to February 28th as part of the township’s deer management program.
Meridian Township Police will conduct the program with a goal of killing around 200 deer over the two month span. Township Police Chief Ken Plaga says the community has a “number of hotspots” for car-deer crashes and the cull will reduce the danger.
