EL PASO, TX (WKZO AM/FM) – A change in travel plans for the Central Michigan University football team.
The Boise State football team won’t play in the Arizona Bowl due to COVID-19 issues in the program. As a result of the Broncos withdrawing, Central Michigan will head to the Sun Bowl in El Paso to play Washington State.
The Cougars needed a new opponent in the bowl game after Miami of Florida withdrew because of COVID issues. The Sun Bowl will be played Friday.
The Arizona Bowl that was scheduled for the same day in Tucson became the fourth bowl game to be canceled due to COVID-19.
