DETROIT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Detroit Red Wings are placing their star rookie in COVID-19 protocols.
Lucas Raymond has been placed in the protocols along with teammate Nick Leddy. Raymond has 28 points this season.
After agreeing to begin their holiday break this past Wednesday, the NHL and NHL Players’ Association pushed the resumption of the regular season back one day. As a result, all 14 games that were originally scheduled for Monday have been postponed.
The league also announced new roster rules that allow each team to have a taxi squad of up to six players and to make emergency recalls from the minors if COVID-19 causes a team to play without a full lineup.
